Wajid Ali Shah (30 July 1822 – 1 September 1887) was the tenth and last Nawab of Awadh(now called Lucknow), holding the position for 9 years. Shankar Dayal Sharma was the ninth President of India. He studied law (1937 – 1942) and later on taught law (1943 – 1952) at the Lucknow University. He mentioned to a popular newspaper reporter (Aaj Saaptaahik Visheshank – 12th September 1993 edition) about his passion for Ram Asrey’s famous sweets.

Translated in English, Lucknow is devoted to me and I am in love with Lucknow.
